Physician Assistant: Full Time Family Practice Salem, Oregon - The Division of Abdominal Organ Transplantation/Hepatobiliary Surgery at Oregon Health & Science University is recruiting a Surgical Physician Assistant to support its growing liver, kidney & pancreas transplant program. Responsibilities include surgical support as first assistant to the liver transplant attending on call, back bench allograft preparation, solid organ procurement, and post-operative care on the inpatient unit as well as outpatient clinic coverage. In addition, inpatient and outpatient liver transplant evaluations are included in the responsibilities. Applicants for this position should expect to cover call to assist and perform back bench allograft preparation for liver transplant operations at least two to three weeks per month, including 2 weekends. The operative skillset would include proficiency in backbench allograft preparation, deceased donor organ procurement, and first assisting in liver transplant operations. The Physician Assistant is supported in the role as a dedicated advocate for patients and their families and will practice health care in accord with professional standards, core values, and a commitment to service excellence on all fronts. The applicant must be able to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
