Surgery Physician Assistant - The Oregon Clinic Gastrointestinal and Minimally Invasive Surgery division is currently recruiting for a full-time (40 – 50 hours per week) Surgery Physician Assistant. This position will be located in NE Portland with occasional travel to our west side office. Position will be approximately 50% surgical assisting and 50% clinical care of our colorectal patients but this may vary week to week. The PA will assist the surgeons with physical exams, pre- and post-op exams, follow-ups, development of treatment plans, and patient education/explanation of results, procedures and tests. This position will also assist in procedures, surgeries, and hospital rounds. Ideal candidate will have colorectal surgical assisting experience, however we will consider new graduates. We are looking for candidates who are self-motivated, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. No weekends or nights call coverage.

APP Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner - OHSU’s Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to work in our observation unit to assess and manage emergency/observation patients. The PA/NP will collaborate with other members of the team to communicate with and transition care back to the patient’s PCP and discharge patients in a timely manner. The PA/NP is supported by the designated emergency medicine attending.  Responsibilities include obtaining an H&P on admission to the observation unit, ordering appropriate diagnostic studies and laboratory tests, interpreting lab results, prescribing therapy based on clinical, radiologic, and lab indications, dictating and documenting patient care, communicating with the EM attending regarding patient variations from the care plan and patient condition, and providing patient and family teaching regarding their disease process, follow up care, appropriate use of prescribed medication, and assessing the need for consultations and referrals.

Experience & Qualifications Required or Preferred:  Master’s degree as required by specific advanced practice provider role. Three to five years of clinical experience that demonstrates the ability to fulfill responsibilities for the specific role. Candidate must also have one to two years of experience providing clinical care in an acute care or emergency setting. Additionally, the candidate must be NCCPA certified, DEA registered, and licensed by the State of Oregon.  Salary Range & Benefits: $100,000 – 110,000 (with productivity based bonus) plus benefits, including generous retirement contribution.
