Orthopedic Physician Assistant - Shriners Hospitals for Children – Portland is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant. Our hospital provides primarily orthopedic, cleft lip & palate, and non-acute burn care to patients with varying and complex medical needs.  This unique position provides the opportunity to manage outpatients as a member of a multidisciplinary team.  The Physician Assistant will manage pediatric orthopedic patients in the outpatient clinic and provide education as part of an academic charity hospital.

Duties include: Provide direct care to patients in the outpatient clinic under the direction of the Chief of Staff and other attending physicians. Manage independent clinics with a mixture of fracture care, postoperative visits and a variety of pediatric orthopedic conditions; Prescribe medications pursuant to the Oregon laws and regulations under the direction of supervising physician; Provides orientation and teaching to the medical staff residents to facilitate their transition into the system; Collaborates with medical staff, nursing and other leadership to identify and participate in developing and implementing education programs; Contributes to hospital, regional, and national practice professional organizations; participates in hospital and nursing committees.

Successful candidates will be a graduate of an AMA (CAHEA) approved Physician Assistant program with an associate BA/BS, a current Oregon NCCPA certification/license in good standing, current CPR and PALS.  Candidate should have background, exposure, or experience in pediatric orthopedics.  Teaching/training skills, computer proficiency and demonstrated ability to provide age-appropriate direct patient care is required. Trauma / General Surgery PA Position - Pacific Surgical, PC, a specialty group consisting of eleven physicians and twelve physician assistants, is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our growing trauma/general surgical practice in Portland, Oregon at the Legacy Emanuel Hospital campus. 

Responsibilities will include evaluation and management of new level 1 trauma and general surgery patients, provision of perioperative and inpatient care, and management of outpatients in the Trauma Clinic in conjunction with the surgeons and the opportunity to assist the surgeons in the operating room. The successful applicant must be self-motivated and able to multi task.  Requires a current Oregon license, NCCPA certification, DEA certificate and ACLS certification. Certification in ATLS, PALS and FCCS preferred but not required.  General surgery and/or trauma/ICU experience preferred.  Position will include full time employment with a competitive salary, professional liability insurance and attractive benefits package.  Full time schedule includes 14 twelve hour shifts per month with some night and weekend shifts.  No after hours call required.
