A multi-specialty private practice looking for a full time Vascular Surgery Physician Assistant to join our team. This position would support two vascular surgeons in surgical assisting as well as clinic office support. This position will also provide home based call support for physician on-call. Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited physician assistant program, and hold or be eligible for an Oregon State PA license. Vascular surgery assisting experience is preferred. Spring 2012 Project Based Physician Assistant - Two Week On/Two Week Off Work Rotation Remote Alaska

This position will be located on onshore/offshore facilities or vessels. The workforce consists of oilfield contractor employees varying considerably due to construction stages, drilling operations, maintenance and operating.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ Years Emergency Medicine
  • Remote Experience
  • DEA License
  • Eligible to apply for state of Alaska license
  • Professional certification with NCCPA
  • Graduate of an American Medical Association accredited physician assistant training program.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, Advanced Burn Support preferred
Responsibilities: Provides acute and occupational medical care to on-site employees. Responds to emergency situations, stabilizes seriously ill and injured patients and arranges emergency air evacuation to hospitals in Anchorage or Fairbanks.  Utilizes standard modalities of diagnosis and treatment approved by the supervising emergency and occupational medical physicians.
