Seeking Experienced NP/PA for ICU (Cardiac/Neuro) - Instructor/NP or PA This is a Faculty position. Schedule Varies; 1.0 FTE; Salary Range: $95K - $138K. This position will provide patient care in a care team model in the Cardiovascular/Neuro Intensive Care Unit. The ICU is a 26-bed sate of the art critical care unit admitted critical ill patients. A critical care trained physician in close collaboration with a primary service physician attending directs the care in the ICU. The appointee works in partnership with faculty physicians, fellows and residents to provide excellent clinical care and customer services to patients; works in conjunction with physician faculty and OHSU leadership to provide services to further the University’s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, and public service as well as the department’s/hospital’s goal of providing effective, efficient care.
The Advanced Practice Provider rounds on patients in the ICU on a daily basis with faculty, fellows, residents; develops/implements, in conjunction with faculty physicians, clinical plans of care and/or protocols for patients with common conditions/diagnoses/procedures; educates house staff and nursing unit staff on these protocols, with the goal of enhancing quality of care, enhancing quality of patient services, and decreasing patient length of stay; participates with hospital/unit staff in evaluating results of these protocols and continually improving effectiveness of same; works actively with hospital and unit staff to rapidly develop and implement discharge plans for patients in the ICU and to address length of stay issues; promotes health of patients in the ICU through the use of ancillary services, educational materials, and counseling of patients and families. Professional performance is delivered in a manner that is compliant with the regulations and guidelines of all relevant regulating bodies (e.g. the ASA, JCAHO, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, OHSU IRB, NIH, and institutional regulatory agencies).

The Oregon Clinic Ear, Nose and Throat Division is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join our busy eastside practice. This position will divide time between our Gresham and Gateway area offices, both located in the Portland metropolitan area. Responsibilities include evaluating and treating new ENT patients, performing upper airway endoscopy, management of epistaxis, fine needle aspiration biopsies, punch and shave biopsies, cerumen removal, patient education and counseling, and surgical assisting with operating room and office-based procedures. This is a full-time position for 5 days a week, with on-call day duties at the office and at our two hospital affiliations (Providence Portland and Legacy Mt. Hood), as well as some limited weekend responsibilities. We are a practice of five physicians who see the breadth of otolaryngological issues. We are looking for an individual who enjoys the procedural work that is inherent to a surgical practice including frenotomies done in the office and cosmetic procedures. In addition, this individual should be self-motivated, comfortable working independently, detail-oriented, and interested in interacting with patients and providing high quality care.
