Clinical Faculty Position in the Beautiful Pacific NorthwestCome join the faculty at an established and highly successful School of Physician Assistant Studies (SPA). Pacific University is seeking applicants for an extended term track or tenure track, Assistant Professor. SPA is housed within the College of Health Professions of Pacific University and is located in Hillsboro, Oregon.

Duties include coordinating clinical rotations and ensuring compliance with appropriate ARC-PA standards, recruiting, evaluating, and monitoring the quality of clinical sites and preceptors, and assisting with curriculum delivery in didactic and clinical phases. Additional duties include participating in student evaluations during professional practice and clinical skills seminars; participating in coordination, training and evaluation of students in physical exam, laboratory, simulation, standardized patient interactions and clinical skills; serving as Academic Advisor to students throughout the program;; participating as a clinician at a low cost community clinic, community health fairs, interprofessional clinics, and outreach projects supervising PA students; serving on school, college and university committees as assigned; and representing the School to the medical and university community. The ideal candidate will have experience in physician assistant education.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - 1. Certified Physician Assistant; eligible for license in Oregon; 2. Master's degree or higher; 3. Minimum of three years clinical experience (>5 preferred) as a practicing clinician, actively involved in patient care. Previous teaching and/or administrative experience is preferred.

Trauma/General Surgery Position - Pacific Surgical, PC, a specialty group consisting of ten physicians and eight physician assistants, is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our growing trauma/general surgical practice in Portland, Oregon at the Legacy Emanuel Hospital campus. Responsibilities will include evaluation and management of new level 1 trauma and general surgery patients, provision of perioperative and inpatient care in conjunction with the surgeons and the opportunity to assist the surgeons in the operating room.

The successful applicant must be self-motivated and able to multi task.  Requires a current Oregon license, NCCPA certification, DEA certificate and ACLS certification. Certification in ATLS, PALS and FCCS preferred but not required.  General surgery and/or trauma/ICU experience preferred. Position will include full time employment with a competitive salary, professional liability insurance and attractive benefits package.  Full time schedule includes 42   twelve hour shifts per quarter with some night and weekend shifts.  No after-hours call required.
