Orthopedic PA Needed - Busy surgical spine practice seeking mid-level provider to participate as part of spine specialty clinical team. Job duties include: Evaluation and assessment of new patients; Facilitates the patient’s transition within and between health care settings; Perioperative evaluation and health management; Prescription management; Facilitates staff, patient and family decision making by providing educational tools; Post operative phone calls for patient understanding and treatment plan compliance; Brace fitting and education; Post operative wound checks; Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient’s specific needs; Completion of patient forms; Triage and handling of patient related clinical questions and concerns (ie. Procedural questions, discharge summaries, etc); Implements interventions to support the patient to regain or maintain physiologic stability.
Qualifications: Active clinical licensing as required by state and federal law to practice in clinical setting. Eligible for hospital privileges. Experience in a specialty practice, preferably previous experience with Orthopedics, Spine, and/or Neurosurgery. Knowledge of and experience with prescription management.
