We are recruiting for a PA or NP for the Skull Base Division in the Department of Neurosurgery at Oregon Health and Science University.   This position will need the knowledge and skills to care for patients with skull base tumors (acoustic neuromas, pituitary tumors), cerebral aneurysms, brain tumors and spinal disorders.  Overall responsibilities include accountability for planning, coordination, and delivery of clinical services in both outpatient and inpatient settings.  Primary responsibilities include assessing established patients during inpatient hospitalizations, including daily rounds, the ordering and interpretation of diagnostic labs and studies, interfacing with a multi-disciplinary team including consulting physicians/PAs/NPs, nursing, and rehab services.  This position is also responsible for the care of patients in the outpatient setting including evaluation of both new patients and follow-ups and the completion of pre-operative assessments; triaging calls, prescription refill management, and care coordination. In this role you will use your occupational health, urgent care or emergency medicine experience to provide quality care to our community. Clinic hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00. You will work with the support of a Medical Director and RN staff. One-year experience of independent practice as a Physicians Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. Prior occupational health, urgent care or emergency medicine preferred. Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) licensed by the state of Oregon. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified from American Heart Association, if expired, must be renewed within 6 months of hire.
