OSPA created a Task Force to monitor the impact of COVID-19 on PA practice in Oregon. In addition to advocating for PA practice in the State, the Task Force has learned that Oregon PAs are also experiencing financial and employment hardships related to the pandemic. OSPA has organized a fundraising effort to assist members who have been impacted during this pandemic. The goal is to provide short term financial assistance to eligible OSPA members experiencing severe financial hardship associated with COVID-19. Eligibility will be determined by the OSPA COVID-19 Task Force. Distribution of relief funds will be based on total fundraising amount.
Qualified recipients should be OSPA members and have experienced disruptions in their employment status, such as furlough, hour/wage reduction or unemployment. Consideration will also be given to members who, as a result of occupational exposure to COVID-19, have experienced health concerns. The Task Force will identify those most significantly impacted and distribute as much relief as possible until the funds run out.
Below you can find options to apply for relief and an option to donate to a fellow PA.
Apply for Relief
If you feel you are in need and qualify for relief based on the above criteria. Please provide OSPA with a brief summary of how you have been impacted by this pandemic.
Donate to a Fellow PA
Consider donating to your fellow PAs if you have the means. We hope to award up to 1,000 dollars per recipient, based upon the total amount raised. Please be generous if you can! We are in this together!
